Negative Stock-in

What happens if stock goes in Negative :-

  • A part is added to a job card, counter sale, or invoice even when stock is not available in the system.
  • The system allows the transaction without blocking the process.
  • The item quantity moves into negative stock.
  • When stock is added later through Stock In, the negative quantity is automatically adjusted.

How Negative Stock Is Used (Common Cases):

  • When parts are physically available but not yet updated in inventory.
  • During urgent or emergency repair jobs where work cannot be delayed.
  • When parts are purchased and used on the same day.
  • In high-volume workshops where inventory updates are done later.
  • When correcting temporary inventory mismatches.
