How to change vehicle ownership and create invoice under new customer

To transfer the ownership of a vehicle from one person to another, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to My Vehicles.
  2. Search and select the required vehicle.
  3. Click on the three-dot icon.
  4. Choose the Change Ownership option.
  5. Select the new owner and save the changes.

Please note:

  • Ownership can only be changed when the related repair order is either invoiced or cancelled.
  • This means the order should be in the Completed or Payment Due stage.

Regarding the invoice:

  • The invoice will always reflect the owner name at the time of invoicing.
  • If ownership is changed after the invoice is generated, the new owner name will not be updated in the existing invoice PDF.
  • This is because the vehicle was serviced and invoiced under the original owner.

Alternative solution:

If the invoice is required under the new owner’s name:

  1. Cancel the existing repair order.
  2. Create a new repair order under the new owner.
  3. Generate the invoice again.
