# Change Mobile Number / Email of the user

In GaragePlug, the **mobile number of a user cannot be changed once the user is created.**
If you need to update the mobile number, please follow these steps:
1️⃣ Go to **Garage Settings**
2️⃣ Click on **Garage Users**
3️⃣ Select the existing user
4️⃣ Click on **Inactivate User**
After that,
5️⃣ Click on **Add New User**
6️⃣ Create a new user with the correct mobile number
